I am honored to know Deborah Gauvreau. I have worked with Deborah over the past years in her capacity as an Executive Director, a Board President and a Board Member for both small and large nonprofit organizations. As a business that specializes in nonprofit accounting, I having nothing but the highest regards for Deborah’s abilities and expertise in the nonprofit sectors. Her organizational skills, focus, and leadership skills, have not only achieved the goals of the organizations, but has laid a strong foundation that is efficient, effective, easily implemented and understood by both management staff and board members. Deborah is not only experienced in the start up procedures for nonprofits, but more importantly, she is experienced at taking over an organization that is lacking direction and turn it around, both functionally and financially. My experiences with working with Deborah have culminated into a relationship in which I consider her as my mentor.

As the treasurer of a multicultural non profit organization with a membership over 10,000 and a multi-million dollar annual budget, I strongly recommend Deborah for her leadership and organizational skills. She brought clarity and structure through which staff and volunteers could excel in their job description and performance. Her knowledge, expertise and experience are vital to any size business with the desire to grow. Deborah established a working environment that brought out the best in everyone. Her deep understanding of financial management coupled with her vision and mission based leadership were the major ingredients for her success as the executive director.

Over the past 14 years, from our organizational “birth” to where we are today, Emile Gauvreau has been instrumental in MOMS success. At key junctures, along our growth and development continuum, Emile provided invaluable guidance in the strategic planning process, Board development, and helping us to increase the depth of our core services. Emile’s strength lies in not only his vast experience in the non profit sector but in his ability to augment the efforts of the Board and Staff, bring issues to light, and lead discussion in a way that is fruitful and productive. All of us at MOMS are grateful for the opportunity to work with Emile and look forward to future endeavors!

Occasionally in life, we meet extraordinary people and develop extraordinary relationships. My meeting Deborah Gauvreau surprisingly became an extraordinary adventure in service to non-profit organizations.
We met some years ago when we both were seated as new Board members on a local community agency Board. What I have since learned about her is that she is organized, thorough, and highly competent. She has a very broad background in non-profit organizations, and seeks impeccability without sacrificing practicality, all the while remaining down to earth. Deborah has a remarkable understanding of what makes non-profits tick and how to move them forward to excellence and success.
I am constantly amazed by her ability to seem to see what others cannot, and by her ability to unravel with ease what seems hopelessly complicated. The combination of her expertise, professionalism and strategic management approach, always with an eye toward achieving the highest and best for the organization, makes it very easy to unconditionally recommend her work.

I have had the pleasure of being a Board Member on a not for profit board where Deborah served as the Executive Director. Deborah brought a high level of excellence to the organization that had never been experienced. Through her leadership we accomplished a great deal in setting up structures, needed policies, and consistent monitoring. When Deborah arrived we were in a negative cash flow, upon her resignation we were in a strong cash position. Deborah is extremely organized, follows through and above all understands what it takes to make a not for profit organization excel.

I feel lucky to have had breast cancer!
That seemingly negative experience has become the great passion of my life–creating LOVE IS THE CURE—a 501c3 organization that has raises money through the wedding industry to fund support services for women and their families going through breast cancer.
I am a wedding gown designer who knew nothing about creating a national charity! This powerful vision for LOVE IS THE CURE would have remained just another nice idea if I had not followed my heart, and enlisted the help of Emile Gauvreau.
Emile is my hero! He has guided me through every step of creation, from pure vision to business plan to action.
Emile has an abundant consciousness, integrity, warmth, humor, and vast experience. Most importantly, Emile himself is strongly called to be of service in the world.
I considered myself blessed to have the honor of working with him!

I have had the privilege of working with Deborah and Emile during separate periods in my career. Not only are they consummate business professionals, they also possess that added dimension of pursuing a higher calling — a commitment to making a difference for others. These down-to-earth, caring souls can be counted on to bring out the best in people who they help. I know, I have been the very fortunate recipient of their guidance and support. They are innovative and think out-of-the-box, continually challenging them to living life fully.
